AIS discloses its operating performance for 2024, reaffirms AIS’s leadership position in Thai telecommunications industry across all dimensions, driven by its core businesses: mobile, fixed-broadband, and enterprise business. The company remains committed to strengthening Thailand’s digital infrastructure, ensuring seamless connectivity, and addressing the diverse needs of all customer segments in line with its vision of becoming a Cognitive Tech-Co.
Montri Khongkruephan, Chief Finance Officer of AIS, stated, “The past year has been a challenging one for business operations, with global economic volatility, geopolitical tensions, and fluctuating interest rates. Domestically, household debt remains high, limiting overall economic growth. However, AIS has continuously adapted to these challenges by prioritizing the best possible user experience while maintaining prudent business operations. As a result, in 2024, the company successfully met its growth targets, with total revenue reaching Bt 213,570 million and a net profit of Bt 35,075 million. Looking ahead, in 2025, a CAPEX budget of Bt 26–27 billion has been allocated to further enhance Thailand’s digital infrastructure, including mobile and broadband networks to elevate the quality of life for all Thais with equitable and inclusive connectivity, while also strengthening cloud infrastructure and data centers, which serve as the backbone of the business sector, driving the country’s economic growth.”
Mobile Business: AIS now serves 45.8 million mobile subscribers, marking an increase of 1.1 million from 2023, driven by growing demand and an expanding portfolio of digital services catering to diverse customer needs. Notably, 5G users reached 12 million, a 31% increase YoY, reinforcing AIS’s dedication to expanding its AIS 5G intelligent network, which now covers over 95% of the population. This achievement has been honored by the 2024 Ookla®, where AIS received awards in twelve categories for outstanding 5G user experience.
Broadband Business: AIS 3BB FIBRE3 continued to grow, reaching 5 million subscribers, a net increase of 243,000 users from the previous year. This strong performance was fueled by the consolidation of 3BB’s revenue and the continuous enhancement of broadband customer experience through innovative products, including Home FibreLAN, which enables 1 Gbps high-speed internet access in every room of the house, and the AI-powered Smart Router, an intelligent router designed to optimize all functions seamlessly.
Enterprise Business: The enterprise business grew 22% YoY, driven by its ability to deliver digital solutions to serve Thai business sectors, particularly in cloud services and data networks. Over the past year, AIS has strengthened its collaborations with leading global partners, including Oracle Cloud, to launch Hyperscale Cloud, a highly secure cloud service designed to support comprehensive digital transformation while ensuring compliance with Thailand’s data storage regulations. This aligns with the evolving digital landscape of Thai businesses. Additionally, AIS introduced the GSA Data Center, a world-class facility featuring cutting-edge technology, clean energy solutions, and state-of-the-art security systems to ensure the highest level of data protection.
