Yuanta Securities (Thailand) stated that its analyst team has picked five interesting stocks to invest with Dollar-Cost Averaging (DCA) method in February 2025.
Berli Jucker Public Company Limited (SET: BJC) is expecting its 4Q24 normalized profit to grow from the previous quarter, which is a high season, due to economic stimulus measures and improved gross profit margin (GPM).
Gulf Energy Development Public Company Limited (SET: GULF) is expecting its 4Q24 normalized profit to grow from the previous quarter and the same period a year prior.
The profit forecast was bolstered by full quarter revenue recognition from GPD Unit 4 power plant, and profit share from Intouch Holdings Public Company Limited (SET: INTUCH) that gained from the recovered profit of Advanced Info Service Public Company Limited (SET: ADVANC).
Meanwhile, the merger with INTUCH in 1Q25-2Q25 will be a positive sentiment toward GULF and INTUCH stocks.
Minor International Public Company Limited (SET: MINT) is expecting its 4Q24 normalized profit to grow from the previous quarter and the same period a year prior. Its profit was supported by the high season in the company’s hotel and restaurant business in Thailand.
Ngern Tid Lor Public Company Limited (SET: TIDLOR) is expecting its 4Q24 normalized profit to grow from the previous quarter and the same period a year prior. The positive sentiment was reinforced by easing provisions.
TMBThanachart Bank Public Company Limited (SET: TTB) is expecting positive sentiment on the share price after the company announced a THB 21 billion share buyback campaign on 2025-2027, which will begin in 3 February to 1 August 2025, with up to THB 7,000 million of buyback or 3.6% of the registered capital.
Yuanta’s criteria for the selected five stocks consisted of a strong base with decent liquidity, a diverse portfolio of both dividend stocks and growth stocks, equally diversified investment in each stock, and diversification in various industries.
The securities will release the top DCA stock for each month unless there are critical events impacting the company base, which is suitable for long-term investors looking for saving stocks.
In a DCA simulation with THB 2,000 per stock per month for five years (31 January 2020 to 31 March 2025), TTB showed the best result with the highest dividend, as investors will receive a THB 62,234 profit from capital gain and a THB 21,989 dividend. GULF came in second with a THB 43,657 profit from capital gain and a THB 4,195 dividend.
