Thailand International Digital Business & Finance Centre (TIDC) proudly announces a strategic partnership with G42, a leading artificial intelligence company from the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This collaboration marks a major step forward in enhancing Thailand’s digital infrastructure, particularly in cloud technology and AI innovation.
On January 29, 2025, the two companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), committing to explore collaboration on projects and investments that support the development of the AI value chain, including digital infrastructure, talent development and the establishment of Virtual Data Embassies to enable sovereign AI and Cloud infrastructure as host provider to countries in Southeast Asia. By combining G42’s advanced AI capabilities with TIDC’s vision for digital growth, this partnership aims to strengthen the country’s competitiveness and drive sustainable economic expansion.

The collaboration with G42 will support TIDC’s objectives by introducing advanced solutions that align with Thailand’s strategic aspirations in positioning the country at the forefront of the global digital economy. G42 will support the development of a comprehensive ecosystem integrating specialized AI infrastructure, cloud services and cutting-edge AI applications and solutions. This includes the development of a national large language model and the establishment of an AI zone with specialized hardware that will serve as a digital hub for government entities and the private sector in the region.
This initiative will also benefit from an envisaged government to government agreement which will support the enablement of a “Digital Embassy”, that will provide virtual sovereign services from the UAE while infrastructure is built in Thailand – accelerating time-to-value for Thailand, as TIDC aims to enhance the resilience and responsiveness of public sector digital services.
