Kaohoon.com Now Back Online after Global Malware Threat

WWW.KAOHOON.COM has announced that its website is now back online in support of a high security system after facing a global cyber security attack last night.

On March 10, 2025, WWW.KAOHOON.COM faced access issues, attributed to a suspected cyber attack by malicious actors using a fake CAPTCHA test.

This deceitful tactic led to visitors unknowingly running harmful code on their devices, prompting us to temporarily shut down the system to shore up security measures.

In a recent announcement, Kaohoon confirmed that the issue has been resolved, and the website is now safely operational for users.

The management and team of Kaohoon apologized for the inconvenience caused and expressed gratitude for the users’ understanding and continued trust.

Previously, the Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau had issued a warning about such attacks on websites with high user traffic through fake CAPTCHA tests.

The attack tricks site visitors into executing malicious code which downloads harmful malware like Lumma Stealer and Amadey Trojan, capable of stealing passwords, cookies, and cryptocurrency wallet details from users’ devices.

The deception involved directing users to click an “I’m not a robot” button, then copy a PowerShell script to the clipboard and follow “verification steps” by:

  1. Pressing Win + R (to open the Run dialog box)
  2. Pressing CTRL + V (to paste script into the text box)
  3. Pressing Enter (to execute the code)

Subsequently, the PowerShell script initiates the download of harmful Windows EXE malware such as Lumma Stealer and Amadey to the user’s device. Users are urged to remain cautious of this new form of cyber threat targeting major websites globally.
