OR Initiates Aggressive Plan to Set Cambodia as ‘Second Homebase’

Peekthong Thongyai, CEO of PTT Oil and Retail Business Public Company Limited (SET: OR), revealed that the company just opened Café Amazon Concept Store Toul Kork Branch, the first Café Amazon under Concept Store in Cambodia as it is ready to become a new landmark in Phnom Penh. Moreover, OR will officially open PTT Station Neak Vorn, one of flagship stations with all types of service in the middle of Phnom Penh.

OR sees potential in Cambodia, such as the economic growth and business opportunity. Therefore, the oil company decided to set its second homebase here, and bring OR’s business from Thailand to Cambodia’s market. PTT Cambodia Limited (PTTCL) will oversee all the operations in the nation and form sustainable growth along with Cambodia, under the concept “They Grow – We Grow,” which OR uses when operating in foreign nations.

Currently, there are 4,879 Café Amazon in eleven countries outside Thailand, with Cambodia now having 254 stores, more than any. This new concept store reflects OR’s commitment to make Thai brands become well-known in the international market. The company also aims to bring achievement and acceptance from the market around the world to make Café Amazon one of the leading beverage brands in the world.

As for PTT Station Neak Vorn, a flagship station with all types of service will be located in the middle of Phnom Penh. Besides providing oil that follows the Euro 5 standard, the station also has Café Amazon, 7-Eleven, Otteral, and several restaurants to fulfill the customer’s needs. Currently, there are 186 PTT stations in Cambodia.
