INSURE Affirms Strong Financial Position following New SAO Building Collapsing from Earthquake

Indara Insurance Public Company Limited (SET: INSURE) reported that, as a result of the earthquake that occurred on March 28, 2025, at approximately 13:20 hrs., tremors were felt across various regions of Thailand, including the Bangkok Metropolitan Area. 

The incident caused the collapse of the new 30-storey building of the State Audit Office of the Kingdom of Thailand (SAO), which was under construction on Kamphaeng Phet 2 Road, Chatuchak District, Bangkok. Reports have confirmed multiple fatalities, injuries, and missing persons. INSURE is a co-insurer of the said construction project together with other insurers and holds a 25% share of the total insured value under the relevant insurance policy.

The Company further clarified that this incident does not have any material impact on its financial position or business operations. INSURE maintains a strong and adequate capital fund, supported by a prudent risk management approach. This includes reinsurance arrangements with rated reinsurers, in accordance with the Company’s reinsurance policy. 

In addition, INSURE has expedited its support for those affected by the incident to mitigate damages and ensure that they receive appropriate compensation in line with the terms of the policy.
