Bualuang Securities (BLS) reported an analysis on the impact of the earthquake that occurred on March 28, 2025. The assessment suggests that the overall effect on the stock market is limited. However, some industries may experience varying levels of impact.

Industries negatively affected include the real estate sector, due to concerns over building structures and potentially rising costs, especially in condominium projects. Companies with a high proportion of condominiums, such as ANAN, NOBLE, and ORI, might be more impacted compared to those focusing on horizontal developments like LH and SIRI, which could benefit from increased demand.

Finansia Syrus Securities (FSS) anticipated short-term selling pressure on the SET index due to the unprecedented nature of the situation, potentially testing the previous low support around the 1,157-point range.

Similarly to BLS, the analysis suggested a negative outlook for the real estate sector, particularly for companies focused on high-rise projects like ORI, ANAN, NOBLE, ASW, and LPN. On the other hand, companies with a higher proportion of low-rise projects, such as BRI, LH, QH, SC, AP, and SPALI, are expected to have a more limited impact.
