Krungsri Securities (KSS) maintained a ‘Buy’ recommendation for MAJOR, setting a target price of 15.60 baht per share. The analyst holds a positive outlook for the cinema business in 2025, anticipating it to be a strong year due to an influx of blockbuster Hollywood films and the return of several successful Thai sequel films. Additionally, there is also a trend of audiences being more selective, choosing to watch only the most appealing movies.
The analyst evaluated MAJOR’s performance for 2025 under a conservative assumption, predicting that the average ticket price will remain stable compared to the same period last year while audience numbers are expected to grow by 9%. As a result, the normalized profit is projected at 602 million baht, reflecting a 15% increase compared to the previous year. MAJOR is anticipated to pay a dividend of 0.44 baht per share, yielding a dividend yield of 4.40%.
In the second quarter of 2025, blockbuster Hollywood films scheduled for release include Thunderbolts (from Marvel Studios), Mission Impossible, Ballerina (a spin-off from the John Wick universe), and F1 (by the makers of Top Gun).
