GO Wholesale Launches University Outreach to Introduce Career Opportunities

GO Wholesale, is a wholesale food center for professional operated by Central Food Wholesales Ltd., under Central Retail, is exploring new opportunities in human resource recruitment. The company has launched an initiative to connect directly with university students, guiding them toward careers aligned with their fields of study. The first pilot began at Mahasarakham University.

Ms. Yingluk Niponsiri, Head of Human Resources, Central Food Wholesales Ltd., said that GO WHOLESALE is committed to offering fresh alternatives in every aspect of its operations — including talent acquisition. With the food wholesale business rapidly expanding, the need for skilled professionals in specialized areas is high. To meet this demand, the company launched the first “University Road Show 2025,” starting with Mahasarakham University. The initiative aims to match students with job opportunities that align with their academic backgrounds. There is significant demand in various departments such as fresh food, bakery, sales, customer development, and logistics.

GO WHOLESALE’s “The University Road Show 2025” campaign and career opportunities were introduced to over 400 students from various faculties who joined The University’s 52nd Cooperative Education and Work-Integrated Learning Program. This included students from the Faculty of Technology, whose areas of study closely align with roles within GO WHOLESALE’s business ecosystem – such as Fisheries, Food Product Development, Animal Science, Horticulture, Agronomy, Food Technology, and Nutrition.

“Many students aren’t aware that their fields of study can apply to a variety of roles in the food wholesale business, with real potential for career growth in management. For instance, fisheries graduates could work in sales and customer development or the fresh food department at a branch. Animal science is directly relevant to our meat category, especially beef, which has seen growing interest in specific cuts. Those with backgrounds in horticulture and agronomy understand the standards of cultivation, giving them an edge. Through the University Road Show, we aim to uncover emerging job market opportunities and help students see how their studies can lead to career growth. Some students have already been recruited and are now working at our Khon Kaen and Udon Thani branches,” Ms. Yingluck said.

Adjusting the recruitment process to better meet business needs is a key success factor in driving growth within the modern wholesale food sector. It also reflects the company’s core brand value, represented by the acronym F.R.E.S.H.:
