China is seeking to avoid conflict with U.S. as well taking hit from U.S. led sanctions against Russia, according to a Chinese diplomat as reported by Bloomberg.
Earlier the White House called on Beijing to use its influence to help end the conflict. The U.S. also cautioned of serious consequences if Beijing supports Russia over the war.
U.S. officials also warned allies in Europe that Russia had sought from Chinese armed drones in the early days for the war, people familiar with the matter said, as reported by Bloomberg.
Beijing dismissed that news as “disinformation,” and said it was urging a peaceful solution to the war in Ukraine.
