Popularity of the U.S. President Joe Biden is fading in his second year in the position as Americans say the U.S. is heading into the wrong direction, according to the poll.
Biden’s job approval dropped from 43% in January to 40%, the lowest level he has ever received since officially becoming the president of the United States of America in January 2021.
Rising inflation in early 2022 fueled the decline in his popularity and the latest drop in approval came after the U.S., as a ringleader, leads western sanctions on Russia for its invasion of Ukraine, resulting in higher inflation not seen since 1980s as energy prices went up, while the country is also trying to recover from the Covid-19 pandemic.
Earlier last week, the Biden administration admitted that it does not have enough funds to pay Americans for the second booster shot (4th dose) if needed. Meanwhile, medical officials are debating whether the fourth shot is necessary. The result could come in early next month.
