Thai Foreign Minister Don Pramudwinai confirmed on Monday that Chinese President Xi Jinping will attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit, which will be held in Bangkok on November 18 and 19.
Don informed reporters on Monday that President Xi had confirmed his visit to Thailand as one of the government’s “special guests.” He stated that the government is expecting confirmation of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s attendance at the meeting.
So far, only four countries and territories, including Malaysia, Mexico, Hong Kong and Taiwan, have confirmed that they will send delegations to the meeting.
Don noted that Kamala Harris, the Vice President of the United States, will represent the U.S. at the summit.
