U.S. President Joe Biden announced a new $425 million military aid package to Ukraine after discussing it with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy.
The White House stated that the package includes air defense capability, air-to-ground munitions, armored vehicles, and critical munitions.
In response, Zelenskiy expressed his gratitude to Biden, both political parties in Congress, and the American people through Telegram before revealing his discussion with Biden about Kyiv’s five-point “victory plan.”
“I proposed considering the possibility of joint weapons production,” he said. “We also discussed the importance of additional training for Ukrainian soldiers.”
Zelenskiy also stated that Ukraine thanked the United States “for its readiness to help Ukraine strengthen its positions to compel Russia towards honest diplomacy.”
