Iranian General Threatens Israel with a “Devastating Strike” in Retaliation to Attacks on Oct 26

The deputy coordinator of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Naghdi, said that Iran will launch a retaliatory attack on Israel in response to an Israeli attack on an Iranian military site, according to the report by TASS.

Israel Defense Force said on October 26 that it had launched an airstrike on a military site in Iran as retaliation to Iranian “numerous continuous attacks”. The Iranian air defense forces state that the damage from the attack was minimal as the main attack was successfully repelled by the Iranian air defense system.

Iran’s General Staff claims that the attack was launched from Iraqi airspace over U.S. controlled territory and that the attack killed at least four Iranian soldiers and one civilian.

On October 1, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) launched an extensive strike on Israel territory using both ballistic and hypersonic missiles in retaliation for Israel’s airstrike that resulted in the deaths of leaders of Hamas, Hezbollah and IRGC groups.

Iran claims that 90% of the missile hit its intended target, while Israel said that out of around 180 Iranian missiles launched into the country, most of them were successfully intercepted.
