Russia Agrees to Temporarily Halt Energy Facility Strike, Not Endorsing Full Ceasefire

Following the phone call between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump, the path to end the war in Ukraine began with Putin agreeing to halt attacks on Ukraine energy facilities. Russia confirmed that its military did receive such an order after the phone call.

Still, Putin did not endorse a full 30-day ceasefire that the US supported. Russia stated that Putin is concerned that Ukraine may use that short period to strengthen their military. He demanded that all military and intelligence assistance to Ukraine must end.

As for Trump, he stated that the call was productive while the expert in German stated that this call has shown the difficulty and unwillingness of the Russian to stop the war.
