H.E. Mr. Phan Chi Thanh, Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Thailand, had a meeting with the Senior Chairman of Charoen Pokphand Group, Dhanin Chearavanont, to discuss on the investment opportunities in Vietnam at CP Tower Silom, Bangkok.
The meeting was also joined by management members of CP Group and Charoen Pokphand Foods Company Limited (SET: CPF) namely Mr.Soopakit Chearavanont, Chairman of CP Group and CP Foods, Mr.Supachai Chearavanon, CEO of CP Group, Mr.Adirek Sripratak, Chairman of the Executive Committee of CP Foods, Mr.Sooksun Jiumjaiswanglerg, Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee of CP Foods and Mr.Montri Suwanphosri, President of C.P.Vietnam.
Ambassador Phan Chi Thanh affirmed that foreign investors, including CP Group, are an indispensable part of Vietnam’s economy. He suggested that Vietnam will focus on the investment promotion using advanced technologies and digital transformation, thus benefiting both Vietnam and Thailand.
Senior Chairman Dhanin Chearavanont praised Vietnam as an attractive country for investment and as the most potential market in Southeast Asia with economic growth opportunities. CP Group has pledged to continue to prioritize investment in Vietnam.
In 1993, CP was established through CP Vietnam Corporation as a food conglomerate, covering both livestock and aquaculture businesses. Nowadays, CP Vietnam is the largest agricultural firm in Vietnam with more than 30,000 employees. CP Vietnam is one foreign business to contribute the employment and develop the country’s farmers.
In 2020, CP Vietnam has launched a fully integrated exporting chicken processing plant in Binh Phuoc, which has the capacity to process 50 million chickens each year in the first phase and 100 million in the second phase. This is the largest and most advanced complex of breeding and processing chicken for export in Southeast Asia until now. This project will help improve Vietnam’s food production quality and standards to global level.
