Both WHA Group and WHAIR have also made their debut in the ESG100 Index. Meanwhile, WHA Premium Growth Freehold and Leasehold Real Estate Investment Trust (WHART) continues to demonstrate remarkable performance, securing its position in the 2023 ESG 100 investment trusts, for the fifth consecutive year. Mr. Natthapatt Tanboon-ek, Chief Financial Officer of WHA Corporation PCL, revealed that Thaipat Institute, by its ESG Rating unit, the pioneer in the development of Thailand’s corporate sustainability database and the annual ESG100 list, has compiled the 2023 ESG Emerging list to recognize promising ESG performers on the Thai stock market. The institute has reviewed 888 companies, funds and investment trusts using ESG information (Environment, Social, and Governance). This year, WHA Group and WHA Industrial Leasehold Real Estate Investment Trust (WHAIR) have been recognized as one of the top 15 securities in the 2023 ESG Emerging List and made their debut in the ESG100 for the first time. The selection is based on publicly available ESG data disclosed by the company and meets Thaipat Institute’s preliminary screening criteria of the ESG100 securities, following the CORE Framework principles, which aim to increase long-term investment returns for investors.
Meanwhile, WHART Premium Growth Freehold and Leasehold Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT), which is the largest industrial REIT in Thailand and manages leasable area of over 1.74 million square meters, has also been recognized as an investment-worthy fund in the 2023 ESG100 for the fifth consecutive year.
