In the “Battle Strategy” seminar, hosted by ‘Kaohoon’ last Friday, under the topic “The Readiness of Thai Organizations for AI Opportunity,” Vasupon Thankakan, Deputy Managing Director of Microsoft (Thailand), stated that, according to the Work Trend Index 2024, 90 percent of Thai managers select low-experience employees who have high skills in AI instead, believing AI is a valuable tool for business assistance.
The increasing trend of using AI in the office is attributed to employee responsibilities, as 68 percent of global employees indicated having trouble meeting deadlines. AI is viewed as a tool to save time, promote creativity, and provide more opportunities to focus on essential details.
Therefore, the integration of AI within organizations— both in terms of increased efficiency and the development of new capabilities, along with enhanced safety from clear AI guidelines and policies—is a factor that managers must prioritize.
Meanwhile, the Thai economy is now entering the AI era, where companies like Microsoft are releasing more AI tools for public access. The company has recommended that the government upskill every organization in the use of AI and collaborate to create visible results.
