On Monday, November 7, the billionaire Elon Musk posted on Twitter that undoubtedly inclined to the Republican’s side in the U.S. midterm elections on Tuesday.
Musk, the world’s richest person and CEO of Tesla, took over Twitter last month, urging Americans to vote for the Republican Congress to counterbalance the Democratic president Joe Biden. The tweet from Musk showed that the CEO took sides explicitly.
“Shared power curbs the worst excesses of both parties, therefore I recommend voting for a Republican Congress, given that the Presidency is Democratic,” Musk said in a tweet.
“I’m open to the idea of voting Democrat again in the future,” he added later.
With the Democrats in control of both houses and the Republicans favored to win a majority in the House of Representatives, the Senate rated a toss-up by nonpartisan election forecasters in Tuesday’s elections.
